Farmer killed in wild boar attack in UP’s Sambhal

A 35-year-old farmer was slain by wild boars on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district. The victim, Sunil Singh, a resident of Roradeep in the Kailadevi police station area, was on his way to collect fodder from a mustard field when the tragedy occurred, officials said.

BAREILLY: A 35-year-old farmer was killed in a wild boar attack on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district. Victim Sunil Singh, a resident of Roradeep in the Kailadevi police station area, was on his way to collect fodder from a mustard field when the incident occurred, said police.
After hearing his scream, farmers working in nearby fields rushed to his rescue and took him to hospital.

However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way, officials said.
Circle officer Anuj Chaudhary said, “The body has been sent for autopsy. Both the revenue department and the forest department have been informed about the incident. The family has been assured compensation of Rs 4 lakh under the State Disaster Relief Fund.”
